Terance A "Terry" Roux, 66, passed away at Baton Rouge General Medical Center on November 6, 2017. A native of Metairie, LA, and long-serving resident of Baton Rouge, LA, Terry was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and attended Southeastern Louisiana University. He was a retired East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office Deputy and former employee of Southern Belle Sandwich Company. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 41 years, Beverly Roux, son Shawn P. Roux and wife Tiffany, sisters Lydia P. Cowan and husband Clifton (Dean), and Gaydenel R. Todd, brother Bryan M. Roux, godchild Clifton Cowans Jr, Aunt Rose Meunier, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Terry is preceded in death by his adoptive parents Louis J. Birou Jr. and Geraldine L. Birou, brother Gayden Roux, biological parents Marion Roux and Vera Mae Roux, father-in-law and mother-in-law Leston M. Dias and Elnora B. Dias, and brother-in-law Lloyd "Johnny" Todd Sr. Services will be held on Saturday, November 11, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge. Visitation for family only will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with a public viewing from 10:00 a.m. until service at 1:00 p.m. Internment will directly follow in the Chapel of Eternal Faith. Pallbearers are Joel M. Blanchard, Ian P. Doran, Brendon M. Doran, Donnie Skalos, Lt. Jimmie Sandridge, Ryan Gallup and Clifton Cowans Jr. The family wishes to thank Dr. Andrew Reese, Dr. Ted Kemp, and the nurses and staff at Baton Rouge General Medical Center for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the American Heart Association.
