Sylvin Sensat passed away Friday, May 21, 2010. He was 80. Ed was born in Ged and a graduate of Vinton High School. He was a resident of Baton Rouge for 59 years and retired from LSU Facility Services where he had been a superintendent over several craft areas. He was a member of Jefferson Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of almost 61 years, Betty Worsham Sensat his 98yearold mother, Grace Smith two sons, the Rev. Eddie Sensat and wife Delores, of Jocotepec, Mexico, and Steven Sensat a daughter, Judy Collins and husband Billy three sisters, Ruth Walters, of Vinton, Margaret Parrish, of Jasper, Texas, and Dorothy Roe, of Baton Rouge six grandchildren, Jason Sensat, Amanda Twisdale, Jessica Collins, Brian Collins, Jamie Collins and Cody Sensat and seven greatgrandchildren, Drew and Hunter Twisdale, Shelby and Carter Sensat, Beau Collins, Soryn and Sylvan Collins. He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvin A. Sensat and a greatgrandson, Zach Sensat. Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Sunday, May 23, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation continues at the funeral home Monday, May 24, from 8:30 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Tommy French and the Rev. David Goza. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
