Sylvia Zimmerle

Sylvia White Zimmerle passed away June 26, 2018 at the age of 79 at home with family. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy. She was a retired Vice President from Hibernia Bank, a notary agent and later enjoyed working for H&R Block. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James "Cooter" Zimmerle; two sons, James Jr. "Jay" and wife Debbie and Jerry and wife Lupe'; daughters, Julie Z. Tallo and fiancé Bobby Brenneke and Jo Z. Chapman and husband Matt; daughter-in-law, Krista Lambert Zimmerle; 60 grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sister, Sally W. Crifasi; and brothers, John "Duke" White and Prentiss "Buddy" White. She is preceded in death by her parents, Garney and Evy Sanchez White; two sons, John "Jack" and wife Catherine and Jeffrey Daniel; two grandsons, Chad Michael and Travis "T.J."; and special fishing buddy Liz Gonzalez. Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home on Jefferson Hwy in Baton Rouge, LA on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 11:00am until funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Family of Sylvia Zimmerle would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Patrick Stagg for his long time care and to the staff of "Hospice in His Care" for their compassion and gentle care.
