Sylvia Rosemary Bagley Smith of Baton Rouge passed away on May 30, 2010. She was born in London, England on October 2, 1936, was a survivor of the bombing of London during WWII, and the way she endured her physical pain was a source of strength to all who knew her. She was loved and will be missed by her three children, Vicki Rosemary Smith OBannon and husband Pat OBannon of Baton Rouge Eve Christina Smith Serbert and husband, Patrick James Serbert of Ponchatoula, and Mark Patrick Smith, of Baton Rouge her six grandchildren, Jessica OBannon, Austin OBannon, Andrew Serbert, Garret Smith, Bradley Serbert, Aundria Smith her two great grandchildren, Adalee and Hudson dearest friends, Phyllis Immerthun and husband, Pete special friends, Allen, Nene and Wendy and Dick and Barbara Stanners of Crawley, West Sussex England. A longtime resident of Baton Rouge, Sylvia received her U.S. Citizenship in 1982 and was a member of St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge for over 20 years. Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry P. Smith Father and Motherinlaw, Buren and Verta Mae Smith, and parents Albert and Ellen Bagley of London. Visiting will be at St. Lukes Episcopal Church, 8833 Goodwood Blvd., on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 9am until a memorial service at 11am. Conducted by Rev. Brien Koheler.
