Susan M. Van Stock

Susan M. Van Stock, born on October 3, 1957, was a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and passed away on October 8, 2023. She was a graduate of Tara High School in 1975. She then went on to Delta Medical School, to become a Certified Medical Office Administrator. Susan loved animals, and nature, attending craft shows, and was an avid lover of baking. She had many hobbies, including jewelry making, and gardening. Susan was always an artist in her own way.

Susan was survived by her loving husband of forty-eight years, Lynn H. Van Stock; her daughter, Jenny Lynn Van Stock, and her two grandchildren, Blaine Keyen KiLynn Van Stock, and Keenan Kiaba Griffin. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter, Ellieanna Mae Van Stock, as well as her niece and nephew Amy Chevalier Mitchell and Ralph M. Chevalier.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Jeanette Thompson; her daughter, Christiana Sue Van Stock; her sister, Lynn M. Chevalier, and her brother-in-law, Ralph Chevalier.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. in Baton Rouge on Friday, October 13, 2023, beginning at 12:30 pm until funeral services begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice nursing staff, The Carpenter House and staff, Dr. Sanjay Juneja and staff for helping Susan fight the CA and for their compassionate care during this difficult time.
