Susan Kean

Susan passed away on January 27, 2021. She was born October 1, 1949 and was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and LSU. She enjoyed her entire career in various positions with the Dept. of Corrections. She was a member of the American Correctional Association and the Retired State Employees Association.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Larkell Bailey Nguyen and Cheri Smith Harrison and her husband Jeffrey Harrison, and four grandchildren, Jordan and Ty Nguyen, and Abigail and Audri Ana Harrison. She is also survived by her brothers, Rannie and Michael Kean, two sisters-in-law, Sandra and Betty Kean, and nieces, Kelli and Brittney Kean.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Randolph Kean and Mary Louise McCarter Kean, her brother, Thomas Jefferson (Jeff) Kean, son-in-law, Thiet Nguyen and a nephew, Shawn Kean.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Resthaven Funeral Home, from 1:30pm until services at 3:00pm. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Susan requested that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, www.nationalmssociety.org.
