Susan Berry

“Celebrate the life that was and yet, will be.”

Susan Hulin Berry, 72, native of Baton Rouge, resident of Denham Springs, left her earthly body on May 2, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.  She was born on June 6, 1949 to Lenes Joseph Hulin, Jr. and Esther Gross Byrnes Hulin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Esther Hulin.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Albert Leroy Berry; children Jessica James Slocum (Derek), Christopher Nelson James; siblings L. Tommy Hulin, Sr. (Lisa), Sally Hulin Blanchard (Minor), Mary Hulin Romano (Bill), Joe G. Hulin, Sr. (Shirley) and Janet Hulin Gonzales (Chris); grandchildren Aaron Johnson (Rachel), Kaitlyn Buquoi (Micah); two great-grandchildren; step children Randy Hardin (Ruth), Susan Berry, Betsy Berry Sanchez; three step grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Johnson, Corey Blanchard, Tommy Hulin, Jr., Joe Hulin, Jr., Wesley Gonzales, Pat Gonzales, Travis Romano.  Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Blanchard and Jefferey Hulin.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, May 6, 2022 beginning at 8:00 AM until services at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of The Crossing at Clarity Hospice for their care during her time with them.
