Susan G. "Sue" Anderson

Susan Diane (“Sue”) Gros Anderson passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the age of 77.  She was born November 14, 1946, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Clarence Joseph Gros and Alma Farmer Gros (later Pellerin).  A graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and furthered her education with several degrees from Louisiana State University.  While in college, Sue was an LSU Golden Girl, a member of Alpha Omega Pi Sorority, and played in the Tiger Marching Band.  Sue enjoyed being part of the LSU Alumni Reunion Band.

She pursued a long career in computer science, retiring with the State of Texas as a network supervisor. She loved cooking, quilting, gardening, spending time with her friends and her dog “Riley”.  Sue will be remembered for all these things, yet one of the most enduring qualities she had was patience beyond compare.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Alma Pellerin; her stepfather, Louis A. Pellerin, III, and her brother Richard “Rick” Pellerin.  

Sue is survived by her brother Louis A. (“Chip”) Pellerin, IV (Leigh); her step-sister, Chad Pellerin; cousins Judy Scimeca, Tena Anderson (Mike), and Darlene Lundin (Tommy); her niece Lindsay Hagihara (Satoshi); and their children, her great-nieces, Mika and Nina Hagihara all of Japan; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, in Baton Rouge. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 1:30 p.m.  Inurnment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

In lieu of flowers memorials in honor of Sue G. Anderson may be made to a charity of your choice.
