Suman “Tony” Moudgil, age 68, residing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away on September 24, 2018.
Tony was born in Ludhiana, India. He lived in Baton Rouge for the last 37 years and he resided in Canada before then.
He was an administrator at Southern University for more than 25 years. He was passionate about history and current events. In this pursuit, Tony owned a large collection of rare antiques, coins, and stamps. He truly valued his family, and was a supportive and loyal to friends and neighbors. Always positive about life, he had uplifting sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Aruna Bhanot Moudgil. They married in 1983 and enjoyed their life together in their beautiful home in Baton Rouge. He was the devoted son of Pandit Harbhagwan Moudgil and Shrimati Lajwanti Moudgil who predeceased him. He was one of 10 children. He is survived by Brothers: Sushil, Balwant, Virinder, and Sunil. His brother Kulwant predeceased him. Three of his sisters live in Baton Rouge: Krishna Agnihotri, Sudershan Kharey and Pinki Diwan; and Aarti Joshi lives in India. Tony was a devoted Uncle to all of his nieces and nephews and their families. He loved his family above all.
Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home located at 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge Louisiana 70818 on September 29, 2018 from noon to 2 pm.
