Sue Hopper

Sue Mixon Hopper, loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away on July 27, 2018.

She graduated from Istrouma High School, Class of 1960. After graduating high school, she went on to work as a Realtor at CJ Brown Realty Company and was later a Reserve Deputy Sheriff with EBRP. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. She was also a member of the IHS '60 Ladies Monthly Luncheon Group.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Belinda Hopper Mounce; her son, Jeffrey Laine Hopper and wife Regina Jordan Hopper; her grandchildren, Jason Kyle Mounce and wife Corey, Joshua Chase Mounce, Jarod Laine Hopper and wife Rachel, Jonathan Taylor Mounce, and Rachel Grace Mounce; her great-grandchildren, Mason Luke Copher and Micah Glen Mounce; her sister, Anne Mixon Butler and husband Ivy; her brother, Roy Mixon and wife Dana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Prentiss and Velma Mixon; and her son-in-law, Larry Glen Mounce.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and will resume on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 1:00pm until funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Hopper, Jarod Hopper, Jason Mounce, Joshua Mounce, Jonathan Mounce, and Barry Mounce.
