Stephen Scott Godail, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away at OLOL on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the age of 54. He earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture, beginning his career as an architect. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects and AIA Baton Rouge, Construction Specifications Institute and was LEED AP Certified, St. George Catholic Church. He enjoyed cooking, snow skiing, traveling, cycling, kayaking, sunsets, and his favorite vacation spot: Fripp Island, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Wagner Godail; and sister, Karen Godail Arena.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Sonia Cascio Godail; children, Kaylin Godail and Benjamin Godail; father, Milton James Godail, Sr; brother, Milton “Jimmy” Godail, Jr. and his wife Peggy; brother-in-law, David Arena; and numerous nephews and one niece.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
