An apprentice with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, she died at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 31, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of Lake Forest, Ill. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, Feb. 26, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting continues at the funeral home chapel on Saturday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Kim LittleBrooks, pastor. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her husband, Joshua L. Celestin father and mother, Peter and Barbara Longeway daughter, Caroline Elizabeth Longeway two brothers, Bryan F. Longeway and Russell P. Longeway and paternal grandmother, Caroline A. Longeway. Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George Ray and Kathryn Bryan and paternal grandparents, Frederick J. and Betty Longeway. She was a member of The Lutheran Church of Our Saviour and IBEW AFLCIOCLC, and a first responder with the Eastside Fire Department.
