Sonya Watson

Sonya Picou Watson, a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, passed away on December 22, 2021 at the age of 64.  She was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA, and native of Larose, LA.  Sonya graduated from South Lafourche High School and was Co-Owner of Watson Windows and Pressure Washing Services for over 35 years in the greater Baton Rouge area.

Sonya Watson is survived by her husband, D’Wayne Watson; sons, Dustin Keith Cambre, Benjamin Dean Cambre, Michael W. Watson; daughter, Brittney Watson Ourso; brother, Bryan Jude Picou; sisters, Jaunita Picou Gibbs, Anita Picou Cambre; mother, Esther Cantrelle Picou; grandmother to Zakary Keith Cambre, Joseph Johathan Oubre, Jacob Franklin Lemoine, and Landry Lenora Ourso.

She was preceded in death by her father, Relio “Ray” Picou; and bother, Ray James Picou.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Cambre, Benjamin Cambre, Cody Gibbs, Bryan Jr Picou, Zakary Cambre, Michael Watson and honorary pallbearers Chad Ourso and Joseph Oubre.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
