Sidney Blanchard

A resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Amber Terrace. He was 83, and a native of St. Amant. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 10 am until religious service at 12 noon, conducted by Deacon James Wax. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jeanette Blanchard son, Dale and wife Nancy daughter, Jan Cobb and husband Carl son, Gary and wife Pam daughter, Kay Hannaman and husband Chris brother, Jude sister, Bert Raffray and husband Jessie grandchildren, Alyssa Blanchard, Jake Blanchard and fianc Lacy Guidroz, Carey and husband Justin Jackson, Brady Cobb, Chad and wife Kathy, Brett Blanchard and Blake, Taylor and Chase Hannaman greatgrandchildren, Camille and Charlee Jackson, Parker Blanchard and Lainy Guidroz and special friend, Francis Roberts. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
