Shirley Mccaffery

Shirley McCaffery died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at the age of 90, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice in Baton Rouge. She was born in Davenport, Iowa, a former 70year resident of New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge. Shirley was a retired manager of Jewel Beauty Shop, New Orleans. She is survived by a daughter, Susan Guidry and husband Kenneth three sons, Leonard J. McCaffery and wife Annette, Kenneth R. McCaffery and wife Jeanie, and Michael P. McCaffery and wife Nancy brother, Harold White 12 grandchildren, Katherine Galatas, Jessica McCaffery Miller, Sean McCaffery, Meghan Roussel, JeanPierre Lacoste, Louise Lacoste, Jeremy Lacoste, Elizabeth Lacoste, Taylor McCaffery, Ian McCaffery, Ryan McCaffery and 17 greatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. McCaffery parents, William and Sadie White and grandson, Leonard Joseph McCaffery III. Friend of Lois W. Private service for the family will be held. The family requests memorial donations be made to The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice, 10615 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70809 or a charity of choice.
