Shirley Itson

Shirley Sue Itson, passed away peacefully at Old Jefferson Community Care Center in Baton Rouge, LA, on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the age of 85. A native of Silsbee, TX, and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Shirley was a retired administrative assistant with 30 years of experience.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Bob Itson; her parents, Charles S. Hooks and Alma Griffith Hooks; her brothers, Preston Lamar, Merle and Selman Hooks; and her sisters, Earlyne Busby and Doris Bankston.

She will be greatly missed by her family and the many friends who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, May 26, 2018, from 2:00 pm until a memorial service at 3:00 pm.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Old Jefferson Community Care Center and Clarity Hospice.
