A resident and native of Baton Rouge, she died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 74. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, Dec. 7, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Mike Schatzle. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her mother, Eloise Parent; two daughters, Patti Tucker and husband Edwin, and Kathy Babin and partner Melinda Tennyson; three sons, Randy Babin and wife Patsy, Scotty Babin, and Faron Babin and partner Phillip Domingue; two sisters, Lura Sharp and Eloise MiMi Wood; five brothers, C.J. Parent, Ervin Parent, Edward Parent, Ellis Ray Parent and Kerry Parent; five grandchildren, Dawn Fugarino and husband Robert, Rochelle Stokes and husband Chad, Maegann Tucker and Amber Babin; four great-grandchildren, Bailey and Brennan Fugarino, and Gracie and Peyton Stokes. Preceded in death by her husband, Munson Babin; father, Clay Parent Sr.; and brothers, Perry Parent, Ernest Parent and Earl Parent Sr. Pallbearers will be Randy Babin, Scotty Babin, Faron Babin, Ervin Parent, Kerry Parent, Robert Fugarino, Edwin Tucker and Chad Stokes. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church.
