Sharon Mathis

Sharon Kay Mathis, age 71, of Carville, Louisiana passed peacefully on February 23, 2020.

She was born on February 20,1949 in Battle Creek, Michigan. She live there until she was 18 when she move to Florida, however, she would later call Louisiana home.

Sharon was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and sister. She loved spending time with her grandkids, friends, and family. She love to laugh and speak her mind and enjoy life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Mathis, Sr.; mother, Amy Louis; father, Clarence Allen Walters; brother, Robert Walters and sister, Karen Watkins.

She is survived by her daughters, Denesse West and Amy (Kevin) Green; son, Allen Mathis; grandchildren, Cory West, Taliyah Mathis, Richard West, Ka’Von Mathis, Brittany Johnson, Kevin Green Jr, Jessie Johnson, Kavin Green, many great grandchildren; her, sisters, Doris Holloway, Joyce Evans, Donna Short and many nieces and nephews.

She will be missed and always loved by all.
