Sharon Font

Sharon Edwards Font, a resident of Denham Springs, was called home on Monday, September 26, 2016. She was 78 years old.

She retired from Metal Works Corp. after 22 years. She was an avid football fan, she loved her Tigers and Saints. Her family was her world and she would do anything for them. "You gave us many things in life. Gifts both great and small. But most of all you gave us love. The greatest gift of all."

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Terri Amos and husband, Dennis Amos; her son, Steve Font and wife, Liz Font; her grandchildren, Kirk, Cody, Mekenzi, and Megan Amos; her sister, Shelley Whitten; and her brother-in-law, Herman Sweeney.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George Edwards and Leslie Edwards; her sister, Maureen Sweeney; and her brother-in-law, Bill Whitten.

Visiting hours will take place on Friday, September 30, 2016, at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, 19421 Greenwell Springs Rd. from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visiting hours will resume on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
