Sarah Durbin Sturdivant, age 83, passed away on May 11, 2017.

Sarah was born in Independence, Louisiana on May 14, 1933. She was a graduate of Southeastern University in Hammond, Louisiana, and retired from the East Baton Rouge School System as an Elementary School Teacher.

She is survived by her sons, James and William Sturdivant.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, W. Roy Sturdivant, Jr.; her parents, James Hursey Durbin and Ruby Irene Calmes of Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana; and her siblings.

A graveside service will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA., on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10:00 am.
