Sandra Morris

Sandra Disch Morris died on Saturday March 10th, 2012, seventeen days short of her 74th birthday. She had fallen ill while visiting her sister Judy in Laguna Beach, California. Although she is from Baton Rouge, she is also from everywhere else She was born in Clovis, New Mexico. She also lived in Lazbuddie Texas, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Prague, Oklahoma, Union, Missouri, Heraldton, Oklahoma, Newton, Kansas kindergarten and 1st grade, Joplin, Missouri 3rd grade, Diamond, Missouri 4th Grade, Neosho, Missouri 6th Grade, El Reno, Oklahoma 7th Grade, Berryville, Arkansas 8th Grade, Joplin, Missouri 9th Grade, Berryville, Arkansas 10th Grade, and Fairbanks, Alaska 11th and 12th grades. She attended Harding University and had her first date with Ray in May of 1957. They married in Lonoke, Arkansas at the Lonoke Church of Christ on December 26, 1958. She is survived by her husband Ray Morris two sons, Chuck Morris and wife Leah, and Mort Morris and wife Raelon two daughters, Frances Green and husband Gary, and Tanya Stuart and husband Troy eleven grandchildren, Micah Morris, Leah Morris, Silas Morris, Kyle Morris, Travis Green, Jacob Green, Jessica Green, Lucas Green, Jadon Stuart, Jonas Stuart, and Jesse Stuart her brother, Ralph Disch and wife Sylvia, her brother Joe Disch and wife Gayle, her sister Judy and husband Joe Wood and she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The pallbearers will be her eight grandsons that in are in attendance Micah Morris, Silas Morris, Kyle Morris, Jacob Green, Lucas Green, Jadon Stuart, Jonas Stuart, and Jesse Stuart. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmie Carter, Bill Easley, Joe Lackie, Bob Raines, Ralph Disch, Joe Disch, Joe Wood,, and Travis Green. Visitation will be held at the South Baton Rouge Church of Christ on Saturday March 17th, 2012 from 1PM until 3PM. The funeral service will be at 3PM at the South Baton Rouge Church of Christ 8725 Jefferson Highway. Burial will be at Resthaven 11817 Jefferson Highway. Flowers may be sent directly to the church.
