Sandra (Poe) Kaiser-Ruttman “Mimi”, 76, resident of Walker, LA passed away March 19,2021 as a result of Covid-19. Sandy was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she served as past recording secretary and Regent of Court St. Kateri Tekakwitha No.2331. She always had a creative eye and special touch for making the most beautiful floral arrangements especially for the Catholic Daughter’s functions. She also served as a volunteer at Livingston Parish Library where she was proud to tutor for the Adult Literacy Program. While she had numerous hobbies including gardening, crafting, genealogy and shopping, the meaningful times spent with her family were the greatest of all as she always looked forward to the next visitor, gathering or phone call.
Sandra is survived by her daughter Lynette Wilks(Mark) daughter-in-law Darlene Carpenter, step-daughters Cheryl Miller, Lorraine Harris(Ron) brothers Glenn Poe (Roberta) Darrell Poe(Shawn) grandchildren Jessica Staples(Jacob) Chase Carpenter, Brenan Padgett, Taylor Padgett, Madelyn Wilks and step grandchildren Joseph Miller(Kara) Treynor McAdams(Melisa) Lynee’ McAdams, great grandchildren Graham Padgett, Lexi Staples, Noah Padgett, Chassidy Carpenter, Madi Carpenter and numerous other extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Ruttman, father Russell Davis Poe , mother Emily Sellers Bradshaw and son James Graham Padgett III.
Due to Covid restrictions there will be no visitation, the Rosary will begin promptly at 10am with Funeral Mass immediately following, Wednesday March 31, 2021, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denham Springs, LA. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, Baton Rouge, LA
