Sandy Kay Ford, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the age of 71. She was born on September 30, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Aletha Chadwick and Leonard Darryl Beall.
Sandy was a generous soul, who always wanted to help others. She completed her associate’s degree in nursing from Bluefield State College and embarked on a career as a Registered Nurse while also taking the time to be a full-time mom and care for her family. Sandy also spent her time serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Master Life Leader, PTA President and a member of the Healing Place Church Mobile Medical Clinic. She loved to tell people about her Savior, Jesus and share His love.
Sandy also loved life and had many hobbies. She enjoyed playing piano, cooking, sewing, playing tennis, watching her kids play soccer and run track, going hiking and dirt bike riding, fishing, playing board games and card games and horseback riding.
Sandy is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Michael Dwayne Ford; her children and their spouses, Stephanie Ford Wilks and Jeremy Wilks, Jason Ford and Theresa Cordovan Ford, and Jonathan Ford and Megan Ford; her grandchildren, Rayleigh Ford, Hudson Wilks, Kingsley Ford and Luke Wilks, her siblings and their spouses, Sherry Murphy and Rev. John Murphy, and Rick Beall and Janet Beall; her beloved dog, Archie and her beloved grand-dogs, Bean Ford and Boomer Wilks.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
