Samuel Overton

Samuel E. Overton, Sr., 78, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013. Native of Slaughter, Louisiana and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a caring father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, and retired business owner. Samuel proudly served his country for eight years in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his loving fiance Carleen Bridges children Brent Overton, and spouse Denise, and Brett Overton and spouse Rosie two grandchildren, Britt Overton and fiance Chelsi Ebeling, and Austin Overton and one greatgrandchild, Drake Overton. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Katie Overton wife Nina Overton two brothers, Lew Overton and John Overton and three sisters, Evelyn, Clarisa, and Aurelia. Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 58 pm. Visitation will resume on Monday morning, June 3, 2013 at 10 am until funeral service conducted by Rev. Louis Harrell, who will be assisted by Rev. Melvin Rushing, at 12 pm.
