Samuel “Leonard” Culotta a resident of Baton Rouge entered his eternal life on November 24 at the age of 77. He was a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a kind, loving, gentle man with an infectious smile. We will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Bridget, and his two loving sons Paul Culotta of Baton Rouge and Thomas Culotta of Redmond, WA. Leonard is also survived by brothers Russell Culotta, James (Kay) Culotta, Jackie (Sharon) Culotta and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Culotta and brother Joe Culotta.
Leonard graduated from Lee High School. After serving in the Army for two years he went to work at the Department of Transportation and Development where he retired after 50 years of service.
Leonard enjoyed hunting, fishing, LSU and Saints football, cooking and traveling. He was well known for his meatballs and spaghetti, stuffed artichokes and making Italian cookies. His favorite vacations were seeing God’s creations throughout the USA and Canada. He preferred to drive on every vacation so he would not miss anything along the way. He did consent to flying when we went on an Alaskan cruise.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Clarity Hospice and all our devoted friends and family who provided support throughout Leonard’s illness.
