Sammy Levatino, Jr.

Sammy Levatino, Jr., 81, of Greensburg, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on the evening of Sunday, December 15, 2013. He is a believer of Jesus Christ and a member of Comite Baptist Church. Sammy was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Livy Louise sons and daughtersinlaw, Barry Levatino and wife Linda, and Bryan Levatino and wife Kathy grandchildren, Brandon, Kristi, Bradley and wife Nichole, Samantha, Ryan and Justin greatgrandchildren, Riley Beasley, Blakely Levatino, and soon to arrive, Avery Monson brother, Joseph Levatino and wife Ruth and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Idell Levatino nephew, Jimmy Levatino and brotherinlaw, James Sonny Woodward. A viewing will be held at Comite Baptist Church, 12250 Greenwell Springs Rd., Baton Rouge, on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 5 pm to 9 pm and will resume on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 11:30 am until funeral service at 1:30 pm. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that all donations be made out to St. Joseph Hospice, 10615 Jefferson Hwy, or to the American Cancer Society, 10528 Kentshire Ct. in Baton Rouge.
