Rubye C. Nana Henderson passed away Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, at Oakwood Village in Zachary. Mrs. Henderson would have been 101 years old this Halloween. A native of Harlingen, Texas, she is survived by a daughter, Rubye Lee Engquist, of Ethel and a brother, Evert Hood, of Donna, Texas. She is also survived by a grandson, John Engquist and wife Marty, of Baton Rouge a granddaughter, Kristan E. Dunne and husband Bryan, of Pace, Fla. two greatgrandsons, Ryan and John Engquist, both of Baton Rouge two greatgranddaughters, Taylor and Meghan Dunne, both of Pace two greatgreatgrandsons, Thomas Ross and John Monroe Engquist, both of Baton Rouge and a nephew and niece, Donald and Cheri Stewart, both of Canyon Lake, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. Henderson granddaughter, Kathleen Engquist soninlaw, Thomas R. Engquist and niece, Betty Jean Stewart. The family is very grateful to her caregivers, Tara White, Elizabeth Allen, Rita Davis and Mary Roddy, who gave Mrs. Henderson such loving care. Graveside services were held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory on Wednesday, Sept. 8. Donations in her memory can be made to Dream Day Foundation, P.O.
