Sista Sledge No. 1, 55, entered into rest Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at Ochsner Regional Medical Center. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, Feb. 17, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She was a native of Baton Rouge and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Doc Hearl two sons, Master Sgt. Jeffrey M. Palmer and wife Lydia, and Steven C. Palmer stepson, James W. Hearl and stepdaughter, Holly M. Hearl two sisters, Kim Holeman and husband David, and Patrice Couvillion and husband Steve two brothers, Cliff Wilson, and Keith Wislon and wife Mary three special nieces, Mandy, Kelsey and Alix four grandchildren, Chris, Lukas, Dylan and Nicholas Palmer. She was preceded in death by her father, Royce Wilson mother, Barbara Wilson Blocker brother, Tod Wilson grandson, Ian Boyd Palmer nephew, Brad Gottschalck. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation .
