Rose Tantimonaco McCrory
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me, Psalms 23:4 Rose Tantimonaco McCrory, born Sept. 1, 1926, in Providence, R.I., died on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, in Seabrook, Texas, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Noah Mac McCrory Jr. She was a former longtime resident of Baton Rouge and a resident of Seabrook. She fought a long, courageous battle against cancer and Alzheimer's Disease. She was married for 50 years to her chum, late husband, Noah. Her first-born child, Fredrick Noah McCrory, preceded her in death, at age 15 in 1962. She was a classic Italian Catholic. Her family and friends will always and forever reminisce about her cooking, which she poured her love into. She loved her family with all of her heart. Visiting at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane, on Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Jerry Martin, celebrant. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway. She is survived by a son, Stephen McCrory, wife Sarah, and their children, Stephen Noah, Theresa Clare and Michael Joseph, all of Seabrook; daughters, MaryAnne McCrory and her son, Noah Christian, both of Baton Rouge, and Lisa McCrory-Monte and her husband, Douglas, of Baytown, Texas; two sisters, Mary Orabona and husband Louis, of Narrangansett, R.I., and Margaret T. Coutts of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; brother, Fred Tantimonaco of Newport, R.I.; brother-in-law, Tunstall Tait and wife Sylvia McCrory, of Greenville, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Gaetano and Felicia Amitrano-Tantimonaco, who were of Providence; three brothers, Lilbero, John and Gaetano Tantimonaco Jr.; sisters, Maria Tantimonaco, Grace Toolan and Pauline Giordano; and beloved nephews, Albert Orabona and Fredrick Tantimonaco. The family would like to express their love and appreciation to Cindy Miller, of Denham Springs, for her loving care of their mother throughout the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. You were the center of our lives, before your soul passed on, it's just so hard for us to believe that you are really gone.
