Rosalie Soileau

A retired PBX operator for D.H. Holmes and Dillards, she died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at her home in Baton Rouge. She was 84 and a native of Corbin. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Tuesday, Feb. 28, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Father Mike Schatzle. Survived by her son, C.J. Soileau and wife Marcia granddaughter, Jodi Soileau Perrodin and husband Brian and three greatgrandsons, Benjamin, Andrew and Alex Perrodin. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Maggie Jones husband, Clifton Soileau Sr. sisters, Lillie McLin Stafford and Annie Weese Covington and brothers, Allen C., Willie, Simmie, Herbert C., and special brother, John Jones. She was an avid gardener who loved working in her yard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. George Catholic Church on Siegen Lane or Mangum Chapel United Methodist Church, 16625 LA Hwy. 1024, Walker, LA 70785.
