Rosalie Leto

Rosalie Anzalone Leto, age 88, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on January 21, 2016.

Rose's outgoing personality and kindness afforded her many life-long friends in many states and even in other countries that she and Art traveled. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her and her smile will be etched in their hearts forever. She will be sadly missed by her caregivers at The Haven and the staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.

Rosalie is survived by her 2 daughters, Fran Hodges, and Jan Zambito and husband, Joe; son, Mark Leto and Jell; 6 grandchildren, Joseph Bourque, Taylor and Alexa Zambito, Christopher and Ryan Hodges and Andrew Leto; sister, Connie VanderHaeghen; brother, Frank Anzalone and wife, Nancy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Art; her parents, Tony and Jennie Anzalone; her brother, Nat Anzalone; and brother-in-law, Bill.

Visiting hours will be observed on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visiting hours will resume on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane, from 10:00 AM until the time of services.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Officiant will be Rev. Matt Dupre.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to Dr. Bryan Bienvenu for his exceptional care and love he showed for Rose.
