Our beloved Ronnie, an amazing example of faith and courage, has finished the race and has surely seen glory revealed as he went home on Monday, May 21, 2018 at the age of 61. Ronnie was born and raised in Baton Rouge and was a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana. His family and friends rejoice in the blessing of having had him as a husband, father, brother and friend. Ronnie leaves behind his wife and his love of 30 years, Melissa "Missy" Brian Pace; beautiful daughters and a treasured son-in-law, Lindsay M. Pace, Holly Pace Hernandez and Shane Hernandez; and his cherished grand babies, Halle Hernandez and Jordan Hernandez. Ronnie also leaves his brothers and their wives, Floyd and Susie Pace and Mike and Danielle Pace. He so loved his family and friends including sister and brother-in-law, Mindy and Rich Krebs, brother and sister-in-law, Blake and Teresa Brian, brother-in-law, James Hornsby, and his lifelong best friend, Randy Warren and wife Lorene. He also leaves his nephews and nieces, Brad, Judy and T-Mike Pace, Lucas, Jessica, Clint, Kate, Brett, Brian & Thomie Hornsby, and Kaycie, Allen, Amanda, & Kyle Brian as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and great nephews and nieces. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Josie Burns Pace as well as his mother-in-law, Marcelle Brian. Ronnie cherished his girls and lovingly cared for the needs of his family. He treasured the fellowship of his extended family, good food, and the sanctity of home and the love he found within. He also enjoyed LSU football and the tradition of the Friday night lights of high school football shared with his close circle of friends. Services will be conducted by his Pastor, Dr. Terry Booth, who led Ronnie to faith in Christ many years ago. Pallbearers will be his son-in-law, Shane Hernandez, nephews Brad Pace, Lucas, Clint, Brett & Brian Hornsby, Allen Brian and best friend, Randy Warren. Ronnie and his family would like to thank those that walked this journey with them and covered them in prayer, especially our true angel of a sister, Mindy Hornsby Krebs, the work done through Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Dr. Vince Cataldo and staff, and Janette Roulston and her ministry at Hospice in His Care. Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM until services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
