Ronald Ron Thomas, 75, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 11:00 P.M. A native of Canonsburg, PA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Ron proudly served as a first Lieutenant in the U.S. Army 4th Division Engineering Battalion, in which he was honorably discharged. He worked as a civil structural engineer with Jacobs Engineering. Ron is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 52 years, Mary Ann Lawrence daughters, Beth Ann Klotz and husband Alan of Indianapolis, IN Janice Crain and husband Glen of Prairieville, LA and Susan Beck and husband Jimmy of Houston, TX grandchildren, Ron Austin Crain, Sarah Klotz, Caroline Crain, and Jeremy Klotz father, George Thomas of Englewood, FL and his beloved cat, Sweetie, who never left his side. He is preceded in death by his mother, Edna Rice and grandson, Christian Crain. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M., will a rosary at 5 P.M and will resume on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Ln., from 9 A.M. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. conducted by Reverend Jerry Martin. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Ron Austin Crain, Glen Crain, Larry Amedee, Jimmy Beck, Robert Gunn, and Rohan LaFleur.
