Ronald Smith

Ronald Dean Ron Smith, 64, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 8:54 p.m. at Pointe Coupee General Hospital. Ron was a registered nurse who dedicated his time to helping others. He graduated from the University of Idaho and Lethridge Community College. Ron was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He was a long time resident of Baton Rouge, LA, a resident of Batchelor, LA and a native to Cardston, Alberta in Canada. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Edith K. Smith daughter, Jessica Day and husband Aidan sons, Jeremy Dew and wife Katrina Wilcox and Jorden Dew twin brother, Donald David Smith and wife Kathy of Cardston, Alberta younger twin brothers, Brian Lloyd and Robert Ernest and wife Kathy grandsons, Michael and Nicholas Day granddaughter, Naomie Dew and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Dean Smith and Susie Riethman Smith and sister, Janet Barbara Smith. Resthaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
