Ronald Harris

Ronald L. Harris (80), born Jan. 6, 1937 passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Sunrise at Siegen Senior Living Community. Ronald was a resident of Gonzales, LA., where he and wife Ann had moved to be closer to their families. Ronald was born in Crittenden County, Arkansas and attended school in Earle, where he was a part of the Earle High School football state champions. Ronald worked as a barber in Earle, prior to moving to Indiana to work for Badger Pipeline. In 1969, Ronald moved to Louisiana to work for Colonial Pipeline, where he would remain until retirement. Prior to moving to Gonzales, he and Ann spent most of their retired life traveling around the country in their custom built 5th wheel travel trailer. Ronald loved traveling, as well as spending time with friends and family and looked forward to holidays, when all of the family would gather together. Ronald is survived by his daughter, Anita Hebert and husband Tab; son, Eddie Harris and wife Kim; grandchildren Ashton Camper, Thomas Camper, Austin Harris and Zachary Harris. Preceded in death by his wife, Ann Wright Harris; parents, Malcolm (Mai) Harris and Odie Browning Harris; and brother, Bobby Harris. Ronald's remains will be cremated. In lieu of a memorial service, Ronald requests that family and friends spend time cherishing those that are still with them. Also, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
