Ronald Roy Domma, a resident of Baton Rouge passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the age of 85. He was born on June 22, 1939, to Nicholas Domma and Lillie Mae Call Domma.
Ronald graduated from Redemptorist High School before attending Northwestern State University. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard Reserves from 1962 until 1970. Ronald built his career as an Instrument Technician working at Allied Chemical/Paxon/Exxon Mobil BRPO for over 26 years. After retiring Ronald loved fishing any watering hole he could find, gardening, watching LSU Sports, and tinkering around with things that needed to be fixed. Most of all, Ronald loved visiting and spending time with his friends and family both near and far.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Dolores Domma and his brother, Charles Domma.
Ronald is survived by his daughters, Gina Domma Caro (Ricky), and Toni Domma Jones (Todd); his son, Todd Domma (Crissy); his grandchildren, Emily Caro, Lauren Caro, Mallory Caro, Kirstyn Jones Granger (Jarrod) and Cooper Jones; and his great-grandchildren, Elijah Walker, Grayson Walker, Cayden Jones, and Reese Granger.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a visitation at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Drive in Baton Rouge, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, beginning at 8:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow in St. George Cemetery.
Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Kenny Blair, Stuart Glasco, Sammy Rispone, Larry Lastrapes, David Domma and Cooper Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be Fred Nesselhuff, Dale Landry, and Gene Spillman.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Norman Deumite and the Doctors and Staff at Baton Rouge General ICU for the exceptional care and compassion they extended to Ronald and his family.
In lieu of flowers donations in Ronald’s name can be made to Missionaries of Charity (737 East Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70808) or St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part, Louisiana.
