Roger “Dale” McCord was born in Duncan, OK and was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. He died peacefully at home at the age of 73 with his loving wife of 28 years by his side after fighting a 12-year battle with Amyloidosis. Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Prentice and Charlene McCord, brothers, Jim McCord, Rick McCord, and Larry McCord. He is survived by his wife, Gina Salario McCord, son, Matthew McCord (Candace), daughter, Briana McCord Arsenault, 4 grandchildren: Grant Falcon, Mason McCord, Alyssa and Alex Arsenault. Dale was a 1966 graduate of Duncan High School, Duncan, OK, and a 1971 graduate of Cameron University, Lawton, OK, where he earned a degree in Chemistry. Dale moved to Baton Rouge, LA in 1971 and began his career at Halliburton Industrial Services for 24 dedicated years. He then transitioned to Hydrochem Industrial Services Co. until he retired in 2006. Dale was an avid golfer and loved to travel but in recent years his greatest joy was time spent with his grandchildren, family and dear friends. He forged inseparable, lifelong bonds with those he cared about including his childhood friends and classmates. Dale was kind to all, had a great sense of humor, and a smile that lit a room. He was an inspiration to everyone who knew him, and our lives are better because of him. Dale was a Member of Parkview Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, April 15, 2022, starting at 9am with service starting at 11am at Parkview Baptist Church located at 11795 Jefferson Hwy Baton Rouge, LA, 70816. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel 2 Towers T2T.org or the Amyloidosis Foundation. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Harold Brandt and Dr. John Berk for their care and compassion. Special thanks to Parkview Baptist Church, friends, and family.
