Robie Irwin Casanova, age 83, a resident of Baton Rouge since 1958, passed away on November 20, 2017 at The Crossing, Clarity Hospice.
Robie was born on August 13, 1934 in Holly Ridge, Mississippi to David and Jewel Irwin. She grew up in Shaw, MS and graduated with a BS degree in Education from Delta State University in Cleveland, MS. She married Beverly Casanova in 1956 with whom she raised two children.
Robie loved to cook and clean for her family. She was especially fond of her grandchildren and loved being a Grandmother. Robie enjoyed working with her husband at their company, Casanova Investigation, assisting insurance companies with investigating worker's compensation claims.
Mrs. Casanova is survived by her daughter, Love Casanova of Sachse, TX, son and daughter-in-law, Bev and Zelda Casanova of Lucas, TX, granddaughter, Briley Casanova of Baton Rouge, and grandson, Cole Casanova, West Point, New York. She is preceded in death by her husband, Beverly Casanova. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 5pm until 8pm.

The Casanova's wish to extend their sincere thanks to Ollie Steele Burden Nursing Home on Essen Lane and The Crossing at Clarity Hospice on Bluebonnet Lane for their care during Robie's stay at both facilities.
