A retired Borden Chemical employee, he died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 69, a native of West Virginia and a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, April 3, from 9 a.m. until service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Milford Walters. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife, Pearl D. Turner; two sisters, Katherine Raber and husband Jonas, of Tuscarowas County, Ohio, and Terry Robin, of New Philadelphia, Ohio; two brothers, Melvin T. Turner Jr. and wife Phylis and Charles Turner, all of Newport News, Va.; two nieces, Diana Owens, of Dover, Ohio, and Linda Widder, of New Philadelphia; and other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Conklin; and brother, James Edward Turner.
