Robert Warren Starns, age 83, a resident of Baton Rouge, La, passed away on February 13, 2022.
He was born and raised in Baton Rouge, attended Baton Rouge High School, enlisted in the United States Navy, was a faithful member of First Baptist Church-Baton Rouge. Married to Carolyn Ann Starns, for 65 years. He spent his professional life in the chemical manufacturing industry, mainly at Uniroyal Chemical, specializing in instrumentation, electrical & robotics used in that industry. Bob passionately enjoyed fishing at “Bob’s Camp” - Toledo Bend, stain-glass work and caning antique chairs, as well as, helping others with his many skills in home repair, HVAC & carpentry.
Bob is survived by (Sons/Daughter-in-Laws) Gary & Marie Starns, Eric & Cheryl Starns, Troy & Bekki Starns, (Grandchildren) Madalyn Starns, Zachary Starns, Allanah Starns, Kate Starns, Emily Starns, Erin Whitfield. He was preceded in death by his (Wife) Carolyn Ann Starns, (Neice) Nikki Starns Alleman, (Father) Woodrow Wilson Starns, (Mother) Emily Irene Starns, (Sister) Diann R. Starns, (Brother) Donald P. Starns, (Brother) W. Dale Starns.
Visitation will take place at First Baptist Church – Baton Rouge on February 22, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until services at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to First Baptist Church – Baton Rouge in Bob’s name.
