Robert "Bob" Rugeley, age 92, a resident of Metairie, LA, passed away on September 28, 2017.
Bob served in the U.S. Army in Europe during WWII. As a civil engineer, he worked in numerous locations in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi during over 40 years with Exxon. He was on the original board of Trustee's for The Reformed Theological Seminaries in Jackson, MS.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Robin Sheppard and husband Ken; his son, Frank M. Rugeley and wife Trish; his grandchildren, Sara Rugeley Causin and husband Trey, Emily Rugeley Ingalls and husband Paul, Jennifer Sheppard Charles and husband Chris, and Chris Sheppard and wife Beth; his great-grandchildren, Jackson, Jaeger and Jolie Causin, Alexis, Lily, Callie Ann and Mary Joanne Ingalls, Mackenzie, Maggie, and Molly Charles, and Max and Marianna Sheppard; and his sister, Sarah "Sugie" Bryant; his niece, Beth Bryant Evans and husband Phil; and his nephew, Gene Bryant.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Frank Maynard Rugeley, Jr.; his parents, Frank Maynard Rugeley, Sr. and Mamie Rose Rugeley; and his wife, Joanne Thompson Rugeley.
A graveside service will be held at Parkway Memorial Cemetery, Ridgeland, MS on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 1:00pm.
Pallbearers will be Chris Sheppard, Chris Charles, Trey Causin, Paul Ingalls, Max Sheppard, Frank Rugeley, and Ken Sheppard.
