Robert John Bob Raiders, Jr.,
a loving husband, father, grandfather and resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away on June 5, 2014. He was 59, a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelors degree in chemical engineering. He retired from BP, where he served as a pipeline engineer and project manager in the United States, Scotland and Pakistan. Bob traveled the world, visiting dozens of countries throughout Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas.
He is survived his husband, Allen Zittrauer, sons Austin Zittrauer of Baton Rouge and Adam Zittrauer and his wife, Paige, of Baton Rouge, granddaughters Charlie and Adeline Zittrauer of Baton Rouge, sisterinlaw Linda Prater and her husband David Prater of Kingwood, Texas, sisters Carol and her husband Jeff Adcock of FuquayVarina, North Carolina and Linda Heffer of Woy Woy, New South Wales, Australia, brothers Rich and his wife Sue Raiders of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, Jim and his wife Belinda Raiders of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Paul Raiders and his wife Claudia Zundel of Morrison, Colorado, nieces Sydney Adcock of FuquayVarina, North Carolina and Amanda Rice and her husband Anthony Rice of Madison, Wisconsin, nephews Hunter Adcock of FuquayVarina, North Carolina and Jeffery Raiders and his wife Heidi Raiders of Sellersburg, Indiana, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Natalie ne Bahl Raiders, father Robert Raiders, Sr., stepmother M. Joan Raiders ne Christian, and brother David Raiders.
Life memorial will be held Friday, June 6, 11:00 AM, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge.
