Robert Hammond, Sr.

Robert Scott Bob Hammond Sr. passed away in Baton Rouge, on Friday, March 2, 2012, at the age of 76. He was born in Paris, Texas, attended high school at Arlington Heights High School in Ft. Worth, Texas and is a graduate of Texas Christian University, where he was a charter member of Phi Delta Theta. He owned and operated Spiral Manufacturing, Inc. until his retirement eight years ago. He was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beverly Hammond and two sons, Scott Hammond and wife Dianna and Mark Hammond and wife Ashley. He is also survived by one brother, Job Nick Hammond, of Tyler, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren, Dylan and Victoria Hammond, of Baton Rouge, and Mamie, Lily and Price Hammond and Anna Claire Collier, of Daphne, Ala. He was preceded in death by his parents, Job and Madelon Hammond. There will be a memorial service at Broadmoor United Methodist Church on Monday, March 5, at 11 a.m., with visitation to start at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Broadmoor United Methodist Church, 10230 Mollylea Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70815.
