Robert Guillory

January 3, 1927 — April 10, 2022

Robert Edmund Guillory, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of Mamou, died Palm Sunday, April 10, 2022, with his family surrounding him.  He was 95.  He was a parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, a Sacristan and Lector. He brought communion to shut-ins and nursing home residents.  He was an avid tennis player throughout life, a team captain, coach, and USTA Certified Tennis Umpire.

He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary and David Laird of Saint Amant, Martha Miller of Prairieville, Sara and Rod Zimmerman of Baton Rouge; two sons and daughter-in-law, Luke and Joan Guillory of New Orleans and John Guillory of Baton Rouge. His children blessed him with seven grandchildren and they blessed him with ten great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Wedness Reed Guillory, two children, Little Angle and Marlene Ann, his parents and eight siblings.

Visitation is at St Jude Catholic Church, 9150 Highland Road, from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. A private Entombment will be at St. George Mausoleum.
