Robert James “Bob” Duhon, loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the age of 74. He was born on November 27, 1950, in Rayne, moving to Church Point for high school, and lived in the Addis/Brusly area for the last 52 years. Bob proudly served the country in the United States Army. He worked for Dow Chemical, as a supervisor in their Marine Department, retiring in 2004.
Bob enjoyed hunting, golfing and riding his Goldwing motorcycle; however, none of these compared to the happiness he had spending time with his family – especially his grandkids!
He is preceded in death by his father, Martin Duhon; his mother, Ethel Roberts Duplechin; his stepfather, Harry Duplechin; his brother, Vincent Duhon; and his in-laws, Leonce and Pearl Thibodeaux.
Bob is survived by his devoted daughters, Danielle Peavy and Tessa Verrett; the mother of his children, former wife and caregiver, Sandra Duhon; his brother, Harry Duplechin, Jr. and his beloved grandchildren Aaron Peavy, Annemarie Peavy and Jaxon Verrett; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Ann Daigle.
Bob had a laugh that was truly contagious. He always put others first and would give you the shirt off his back. He made an impression on everyone he met, and although he was blessed with two daughters, who were his world, he was ‘a dad’ to countless others, most of all to his nieces and nephews, whose love for him was unmatched.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 402 South Kirkland Drive in Brusly, Louisiana. A Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. The family will attend a private inurnment at a later date.
