Robert Davis

Robert Douglas Bob Davis, born January 5, 1961, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the age of 52. Native of Lake Charles, LA, he attended Barbe High School and was a current resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Bob was a loving husband, father, and son. He earned numerous degrees over the years including his BS in Psychology from LSU, Masters in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern State, his Ph. D in Clinical Psychology from University of Southern Miss, and his PostDoctoral Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology. Bob was a member of Louisiana Academy of Medical Psychologists and the owner of Matrix Psychological Services and R.D. Associates. He is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Miriam Armbruster Davis children, Robert Allen Bobby Davis and Amanda Taryn Davis, all of whom Bob devoted his life. He is also survived by parents, Robert Milton Davis and Karen Creel Davis brother and sister, Jerry Wayne Davis and Becky Lynn Latham uncle, Randall and his wife Brenda Davis cousin, Chris Creel nieces and nephews, Lauren Ashley Davis, Lauren Alysse Malmay, Jordan Latham, Jacob Latham, Blair Tiller, Destinee Armbruster, Michael Paul Armbruster, Matthew Paul Armbruster, Mark Paul Armbruser, Mitchell Paul Armbruster, and numerous brothers and sistersinlaw. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Guy and Mary Creel paternal grandparents, Robert Red and Thelma Davis. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816, Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 5 pm until 8 pm and will continue Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 8 am until funeral service at 10 am, celebrated by Rev. Bullard Jones. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org, honoring Bobs pride in his son Bobbys military service.
