Robert "Bob" Burleson

Robert “Bob” Burleson, 81, a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Greenwell Springs, LA passed away on November 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and is a former reserve deputy for the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office. Bob retired after 38 years in the mechanical department at ExxonMobil Refinery.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Nola Ashford Burleson; daughter, Kelli Jumper (David); son, Jody Burleson (Jan); grandsons, Troy Burleson (Paige), Trey Burleson (Emily) and Matthew Jumper; great grandson, Graham Oliver Burleson; sister in laws, Kathy Burleson and Tinker Burleson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Ellington and Fannie Mae Grimes Burleson; and brothers, Gene Burleson and Larry Burleson

The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Age Rehabilitation Center in Denham Springs for the loving care given to Bob.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Baton Rouge Food Bank.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Graveside service with military honors will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
