A resident of Baton Rouge, she died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at Hermann Memorial Hospital, Houston. She was 77 and a native of Baskin. She was a retired teacher with the East Baton Rouge Parish school system, having taught for 17 years at Glen Oaks High School. She was the Louisiana State National Beta Club field representative from 19832009. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, Oct. 9, from noon until funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her children, Steve Scott and Gale Chan, San Diego, Debi and Cliff Stringfield, Columbia, S.C., Rosie and Jamie Gerbrecht, Houston, and fourth daughter, Pinney Johnson, Baton Rouge grandchildren, Jack and Jennifer Milazzo, Baton Rouge, Zachary Stringfield, Hiliarie and Matt Covington and Jamie Rose Gerbrecht, Houston greatgrandchildren, Eli and Hester Grace Covington, Columbia, S.C. sisters and brothers, Sam Skinner, Colfax, Bud and Jo Hale, Monroe, the Rev. Charles and Mary Virginia Scott, Jasper, Ga., and Julius and Mary Scott, Kerrville, Texas and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Victor Bill Scott daughter, Judi Scott sisters and brothers, Edith Skinner, Colfax, Vesta and Cecil Moore, Rayville, Bernice and J.A. Sandifer, Monroe, and Marjorie and Dan Sledge, Delhi niece, Sherri Scott Wolfe and nephews, Bill Skinner and Chuck Scott. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital .
