Rita Hebert

Rita Babineaux Hebert passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Crossroads at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA surrounded by her children.

Rita was born in Grosse Isle, LA on July 12, 1926, was a resident of Lake Sherwood Retirement Village in Baton Rouge and was a former resident of Abbeville and Dutchtown.

She is survived by her seven daughters, Rita Gayle Abshire, Linda (Gerald) O'Quin, Vicki (David) Pino, Teresa (Terry) Salter, Carol (Terry) Vavasseur, Mary Faye Rhorer and Mary Kaye (Mark) Fournet; one son, Harris J. "Jim" (Donna) Hebert, II and son-in-law, Gary L. Hebert.

Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Harris J. Hebert; a daughter, Cynthia M Hebert; a granddaughter, Amy L Hebert and son-in-law, Hardy Abshire.

Visitation is scheduled at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 15208 Highway 73, Prairieville, LA 70769 on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 9AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM; celebrated by Rev. Jerry Martin. Entombment will be a private ceremony on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Resthaven Garden of Memories.
