Rita C. Doucet

Rita Clements Doucet, 72 a resident of Central, Louisiana, passed away on April 22, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She is a 1970 graduate of Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge. She began her career in 1974 as an Administrative Technician at ExxonMobil Plastics Plant where she worked her way up to an SAP Coordinator/Maintenance Admin and retired after 38 years in the industry.

A few of her favorite things to do with Ronald, her kids, and grandkids were going to the beach every year, where she could never get enough of the ocean sound. Her love for fishing started at a young age participating in casting tournaments with her dad. She also loved to go to their camp on Lake Verrett to go fishing, boat riding, boiling crabs, and crawfish any chance she could.  Every evening, she would spend time with the love of her life watching hummingbirds and the sunset.

Rita is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Ronald Doucet; two daughters, Stephanie, her spouse Lowell Melder and Brittany her spouse Hillary Lambert; three grandchildren, Bailee Turner, Kalob Turner, Sutton Lambert, and baby Lambert on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas W. Jr and Rita Marion Clements; brother Billy Clements; her sister Darlene Clements Lee; and father and mother-in-law John B. And Betty Doucet.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral home on April 26, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until Funeral Services at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
